The TASH project
is supported by a grant of the Franz Loogen Foundation, Düsseldorf, Germany.
The studies for the development of the concept of TASH and its application were performed under the leadership and responsibility of Horst Kuhn MD, FESC, and his Group between 1991 and 2005. He is Professor of Medicine and emeritus, head of the Department of Cardiology and& Intensive Medicine, the Bielefeld Medical Center. Christoph Stellbrink, M.D., FACC, Professor of Medicine succeeded him in this position in 2005. Current members of the TASH Group who perform the procedure are Thorsten Lawrenz, M.D., who is the leader of the Group since 2005. He is an active member of the working group of the European society of Cardiology and is performing the procedure since 2003; Markus Bartelsmeier, M.D.; Christian Leuner M.D.; Professor Christoph Stellbrink M.D. All members are interventional Cardiologists.
